Vishnu Statue - Antique Khmer Style Enthroned Bronze Seated Vishnu Statue - 14cm/6"
Measures - (Height) 14cm/6"
An unusual, high quality antique Khmer style bronze enthroned seated Vishnu.
Vishnu is both world protector and preserver, restorer of moral order - he is all-powerful and all-pervasive by nature.
Here Vishnu is seated, panhandle, on a simple pedestal.
An aureole or halo sits behind Vishnu. This circle of light symbolizing his divinity, boundless wisdom and enlightenment.
In his right hand he holds his gada or mace symbolising his mental and physical strength.
Either side of Vishnu are two Naga serpents providing protection.
The distinctive azurite and malachite patina of the piece is particularly delightful.

Madhu Purnima is more than a Buddhist holiday; it is a celebration of the universal values of generosity, harmony, and gratitude.
By reflecting on the story of the Buddha, the monkey, and the monks, we are reminded of the importance of selflessness and unity in our lives.
