Antique Khmer Style Southeast Asia Bronze Mounted Hand - 39cm/16"
Measures (Height) 39cm/16"
An antique Khmer style hand from Cambodia. The fingers are posed in a gesture of wisdom or teaching. The finger and thumb held together.
A Mandala decorates the palm of the hand, a symbol of meditation and serenity.
In various spiritual traditions, mandalas can be used to focus the attention of practitioners and adepts, as a spiritual guidance tool, for establishing a sacred space and as an aid to meditation. In the Eastern religions of Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism and Shinto it is used as a map representing deities, or especially in the case of Shinto, paradises, kami or actual shrines.
A mandala generally represents the spiritual journey, starting from outside to the inner core, through layers.
The hand is mounted on a wood base.
This traditional in appearance piece is sure to add serenity to your home, office or sacred space.

In Buddhism, the turtle may be a subtle symbol, but its teachings are profound.
From the rare opportunity of human rebirth, illustrated through the parable of the blind turtle, to the qualities of patience, resilience, and inner peace, the turtle represents virtues that are essential for spiritual growth.
