An antique Indonesian style standing bronze Trimurti in the Majapahit style. The Trimurti is the triple deity of supreme divinity in Hinduism.

A triad of deities, Brahma the creator, Vishnu the preserver and Shiva the destroyer are shown in a single sculpture. When all three deities of the Trimurti incarnate into a single avatar, the avatar is known as Dattatreya.

Majapahit‑style Trimurti bronze, depicting the Hindu trinity of Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva unified in a single three‑headed, multi‑armed deity. The figure stands in poised samabhanga on a Javanese pedestal, richly adorned with jewellery and patterned textiles that emphasise his status as lord of creation, preservation and transformation. His lower right hand is held in a gentle gesture of teaching, inviting insight and guiding the viewer towards a deeper understanding of Dharma

In his other hands he holds a sutra, a noose, a lotus flower and a kalasha.

The sutra or sacred text, evokes Brahma’s role as giver of knowledge and keeper of the Vedas, reminding us that wisdom and learning lie at the heart of the cosmic order.
