Antique Khmer Style Bronze Mounted Elephant Bell - 28cm/11"
Measures - (Height) 28cm/11". Tall
An antique Khmer style bronze Bell. This exquisite ritual bell was created to be rung during ceremonies.
The bulbous bell is decorated with symbols of Erawan and surmounted by a looped suspension ring.
Erawan is the three headed elephant. Erawan is a mythological elephant who carries the Hindu god Indra.
When we ring the bell we can easily imagine its rich tones ringing out across the 12th century Khmer capital, Angkor Wat. Graceful and powerful, it evokes the beauty and serenity of a vanished ancient world.
The bell is working and mounted.
The black wood and metal stand shown will be shipped with the bell.

By reflecting on the story of the Buddha, the monkey, and the monks, we are reminded of the importance of selflessness and unity in our lives.
